Lohrpark, Frankfurt

Lohrpark is Frankfurt’s highest-lying park, which is no surprise given the breath-taking view of the city’s skyline.

Arriving at Lohrpark

It’s super easy to get to Lohrpark. You can take the number 30 bus from Konstablerwache to Heiligenstock/ Lohrberg, which takes approx 15 mins. You can also go by car as parking is available, but be warned that it gets busy!

I took some beautiful photos during my walk around Lohrpak. It’s worth noting that these photos were taken on a sunny day in early November, and there were people relaxing on the grass with picnic blankets! Not something you’d imagine in November, but if the sun is shining and you’ve got a warm jacket on, it seems to be pretty cosy. You’re even allowed to BBQ, although I guess this is more for the summer.

You’ll see plenty of signs for the MainÄppel-Haus Lohrberg, which I didn’t visit myself but apparently you can stop there for a fresh Apple Wine.

I can’t believe that I only made it to Lohrpark after 4 years of living in Frankfurt – it’s so pretty! Although I can imagine it gets very packed in the summer. Lohrpark offers something for all, including play areas for children, plenty of benches if you want to sit down, and even vineyards too! I’ll leave you with a few more photos, but make sure you see it for yourself too!
